Assassin's Creed Unveils Bizarre Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving
In a surprising crossover event that breaks traditional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine cult.
The questline focuses on "strange trials and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Bonus Content
Players who finish the adventure will obtain an special katana together with multiple objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa costume for Naoe

Third Free Story Content
This release also adds the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This playful adventure teams Naoe and Yasuke as they swap distinctive techniques: Naoe debuts a dramatic variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters subduing stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also features a new environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
